EBP Resources

University of Western States' Recommended Resources Guide

This table focuses on resources available at UWS or free on the internet that are most likely to contain useful clinical research evidence. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list.

Included are campus subscriptions to proprietary databases and journals which require authentication; however, many of these resources are web-based and available to field practitioners as well.

Push Services

Staying up-to-date with current research in your field can be daunting. Subscribing to push services is an easy, time-saving option for receiving customized information relevant to your area of interest on a regular basis.

The video below explains the basics of push services, including details on signing up for some of the most popular services such as Evidence Alerts (https://plus.mcmaster.ca/EvidenceAlerts/).
